Evaluation of the Adab Education Strengthening Program Using a Goal-Oriented Evaluation Model at Al Azhar Islamic School Bukittinggi

The aim of this research is to evaluate the Adab Education Strengthening Program Using the Goal-oriented Evaluation Model at the Al Azhar Islamic School Bukittinggi. This evaluative research uses a goal-oriented evaluation model to assess the effectiveness of the Adab Education Strengthening Program (P3A) at Al Azhar Islamic School Bukittinggi . The results of this research indicate that the P3A Program has the main aim of increasing the understanding and application of ethical values among students. These goals include increasing awareness of the importance of respecting teachers and parents, developing polite daily behavior, fostering social responsibility and concern for others, building commitment to school rules, and strengthening personal integrity through the values of honesty and justice. The majority of students experienced an increased understanding of the values of etiquette, with examples such as 85% of students better understanding the importance of respecting teachers and parents, and 78% reporting better polite behavior. However, this program is faced with challenges such as consistency in applying self-discipline and the need for holistic integration of disciplinary values. Strong school support, interactive teaching methods, and parent participation are success factors, while time constraints and variability in student and teacher commitment are major challenges. It is recommended that this program be better integrated into the curriculum and extracurricular activities, as well as increase collaboration with parents to create an educational environment that supports the formation of student character.
